    Matt comes to Celebrate Recovery Maryville from Virginia where he was serving two churches. He has also served as the Appalachian Trail Chaplain for the United Methodist Church and has been involved in recovery ministries for many years.

    My wife and I have been members of

    1st United Methodist Church - Maryville for more than 10 years and have been involved with the Recovery program since it began at our church. 

    We are blessed to be on the journey to recovery with others in our community and love watching what God is doing through this ministry.

    Jackie and Al are Celebrate Recovery State Representatives for East Tennessee. They focus on community outreach and the growth of new Celebrate Recovery ministries.

  • Sandra hodson

    Sandra is one of our encourager coaches for Celebrate Recovery. She helps to provide shepherding care needs of group and ministry leaders including fellowship events, a monthly calendar for greeters, and newsletter.

  • alan bryan

    Sandi and I were married in First United Methodist Church Maryville in 1965 and have two children and three grandchildren. We joined 1st UMC soon after moving to Maryville in 2015, having lived elsewhere since getting married. I am blessed to serve in this awesome ministry.

    I am a retired flight attendant from United Airlines. Enjoyed seeing the world for 25 years. I also taught elementary school for 16 years. I feel the only true way to recovery is through our Lord Jesus Christ

    I was drawn to the Recovery mission when I realized how many hurting people are around us everyday…myself included. At Celebrate Recovery we see hope, encouragement and love extended to all our community. I’m a Mom and Grandma and just love the open doors of this ministry.

  • Larry campbell


    Larry Holds a BsChE and PhD in Physical Chemistry from Purdue University. He and his wife Carole have been members of

    1st United Methodist Church- Maryville for more than 10 years and are members of the Chancel Choir. 

    Larry has served on many church committees and volunteers at the Blount County Jail teaching Bible Study.
