Don came to 1st United Methodist Church in July 2025. In his role as Associate Pastor he leads Celebrate Recovery at 1st as well as the church's Nurture Ministries.

CR State REPRESENTATIVES
Jackie and Al are Celebrate Recovery State Representatives for East Tennessee. They focus on community outreach and the growth of new Celebrate Recovery ministries.

Owen (and his wife Leslie) have been members of 1st United Methodist Church in Maryville for two decades and have been involved with the Recovery program since it began at our 1st UMC.
Owen says he is blessed to be on the journey to recovery with others in our community and loves watching what God is doing through this ministry.
He and his wife Leslie were recently appointed as pastors at Tuckaleechee United Methodist Church in Townsend.

Leslie was drawn to the Recovery mission when she realized how many hurting people are around us everyday… herself included.
Leslie says she sees hope, encouragement and love extended to all our community through Celebrate Recovery.
She is a Mom and Grandma and just loves the open doors of the CR ministry. Recently she and her husband Owen were appointed as pastors at Tuckaleechee United Methodist Church in Townsend.

I am a retired flight attendant from United Airlines. Enjoyed seeing the world for 25 years. I also taught elementary school for 16 years. I feel the only true way to recovery is through our Lord Jesus Christ
